Application:
The HDU 27/-series of off-line fine filters are used for the maintenance of fluids in
power transmission, lubrication, cooling and control systems.
The M87 models have a drain tank base and are designed for the maintenance of large fluid
volumes on industrial gears.
Function:
The filter pump sucks fluid, e.g. from a tank, and presses it through the filter element.
From the centre of the element the fluid flows through the filter back to the tank.
The pressure drop over the filter - and consequently the contaminant absorption of the filter element - is monitored on the pressure gauge on the top of the filter. The electrical pressure guard will stop the filter pump and light the control box warning at excessive pressure drop. Remote warning indicator can be connected.
The filter is installed with a suction line connected to the most contaminated point in the system tank - preferably to the bottom drain, if existing.
