CJC Desorber D30 PM- (F)
THE PRINCIPAL
The desorption process is based on the principle that heated air can effectively absorb large quantities of water.
In the CJC Desorber the oil, preheated to a temperature of 60-75ºC, is pumped through the desorber chamber where it is met with a counter-flow of cold air. The air, heated very quickly by the hot oil, will absorb any water present.
TECHNICAL DATA
APPLICATION
The CJC D30 PM- (F) is designed to remove water from all kinds of oil in systems with continuous water problems, down to a water level below 100 ppm.
FUNCTION
Oil Flow Circuit
The oil circuit consists of 2 pumps, one inlet pump and one outlet (discharge) pump. There is a heat exchanger connected to the system such that the hot outlet oil helps to heat the oil going into the Desorber. Through this efficient set-up, the total power consumption has been lowered to 4 kW. In the CJC Fine Filter equipped model, (CJC D30 PM-F), the outlet pump doubles as the filter pump.
Air Flow Circuit
The air circuit consists of an air blower and an air cooler (condenser) including fan and a hydro cyclone. The air blower supplies air to the Desorber chamber through a newly designed "air distributor", allowing the air to bubble up through the oil, then pass through a demister in the top of the reaction chamber before exiting the chamber. From there, the air is condensed in the air cooler, then enters into the hydro cyclone which separates the air and water. The water is drained out, and the air continues back into the system.
The Reaction Chamber
The reaction chamber, air supply module, and everything else is made of stainless steel. The entire air supply module can be lifted out as one unit for easy maintenance and cleaning. There are 5 sensors built into an adaptor on the side of the reaction chamber to control the fluid level in the chamber, and provide feedback to the control panel.
Control Panel
The D30 is managed by the most advanced control panel on any CJC Filter unit. It features a built-in PLC controller to provide the operator with the ability to literally "Plug & Play." Once the oil lines and power have been connected, the operator simply presses the start button. Using information gathered by the sensors, the system runs a start sequence which fills the chamber with oil, applies necessary heat, and starts the air blower and discharge pump. A frequency inverter controls the flow of the discharge pump by varying the speed of the motor.
